Jill Carrott has lived in La Axarquía, Spain since 1992. Her paintings capture the essence of her surroundings rather than a literal interpretation. The light, atmosphere, colours and shapes are what she looks for. The paintings are made from sketches, from life, from memory and imagination. Sometimes one of her photographs will spark some inspiration.
